Debaun Springhill Chapel

N. Allen, 72, of Madisonville, Ky. passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017.He was born Sept. 18, 1944 in Linton to Ernest Allen and Frances McCain Allen.Michael graduated from Bloomfield High School and was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was a construction worker and a heavy equipment operator. He retired from the coal mining industry having worked 30 years in various supervisory and managerial positions in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Kentucky. Retiring in January 2000, Michael had many interests to occupy his time including woodworking and golf.He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Kenneth Allen, R.J. Allen and Keith Allen.Michael is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alanna Lee Rigney Allen. Also surviving are daughters, Marlo Allen of Greenville, Ky. and Michele Allen of Louisville, Ky.; also grandchildren, Dalton (wife Whitney), Kameron, (husband Dereck), Mika, Kinsley, Laya; and great-grandchild, Oliver.Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Second Prairie Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Prairie Creek, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 East Springhill Drive, Terre Haute.
